Have I written here at some point that it’s not the season? Hm: Currently we have guests during the week and the weekend is completely booked. That’s great for the Townhouse, of course. But bad for my nails – I long for a manicure and my beloved bright red …. Next week and the week after are also vacations in France. Yvette is almost a little worried about what that means for her French class: on verra.
Anyway, Carlo and I whirled through the 2 today. And I think we did quite well – as a team and in time!
Voilà , the 2
.
I cleaned the 2 for the first time today. She’s on the first floor, just to the right after the front door. Here she welcomes her guests with stylish coziness in a spacious kitchen-living-pleasure combo. The white wood paneling and beautiful old wood parquet are super elegant. A subtle patterned wallpaper and stylish curtains complete the special aesthetic. Here is room to chat and lounge, cook and feast.
The really small bedroom next door fits only a queen-size bed and a large wardrobe. The modern en suite bathroom, tiled in classic black and white, makes number 2 a really clean affair.
Still, you have to know about the 2: All guests of the house walk by here. And on the first floor, of course, it is also with the daylight especially in the winter months so a thing … on the other hand, you hop from here in just a few steps out to Trouville, to the beach or on the small backyard, which completes the realm of the townhouse guests together with the spa in the basement.
And otherwise?
Over the past two weeks, we’ve had a pretty massive construction site in the house next door, or on the roof – and it’s unfortunately wreaked havoc on our backyard quite a bit. Therefore, today in the aftermath, the three of us were mainly busy bringing this backyard back to shape (:-)! Whew. Not even that nice …
… but I deserved something nice afterwards, I thought. So I peeled myself out of the Yvette corset, painted my face, got cleanly dressed and walked to Deauville. I must confess, it wasn’t just the walk, the airing out after work was done,

that made me happy: I actually treated myself to a new outfit. My lucky purchase is a jumpsuit. And yes, that sounds like work clothes :-).

But I can’t help but think my new dark grey denim jumpsuit is mega cool: Probably mainly because I feel like a normal Astrid in it – and just not like Yvette. But hey: In my self-chosen adventure applies just
le travail avant le plaisir!
